Dr. Evelyn Woods BSc, B.V.M.S.
Veterinary Surgeon and Consultant
Professional Interests
I enjoy all aspects of surgery but have a special interest in Orthopaedic and Reconstructive surgery
Why I became a vet
I really couldn’t bear to see the suffering of animals so I became a vet in the hope that I could help prevent at least some of that suffering.
Favourite animals
I really don’t have a favourite because I love all animals. Well maybe not all animals because I’m not particularly keen on spiders!
My animals
I have a Smithfield Cross called Stevie and a Tabby cat called Louis. Both my pets were found as strays on the side of roads. I rescued them and gave them a forever home and now they’re part of the family.
Hobbies
I enjoy bushwalking and find the outdoors very relaxing. I also have a bit of artistic flair and paint pets and wildlife portraits and restore furniture to its former glory.
What do you like about working at Hobart Community Veterinary Hospital
I love working with a group of really dynamic and interesting people. We are all working towards a common goal which can be really bonding.
