Veterinary Nurse

Professional Interests

As I am new to the industry I am finding a new experience every day. There is so much to learn and I am enjoying every moment.

Why I became a veterinary nurse

I started as a volunteer in February of 2015 as I was interested in a career where I could be involved with helping animals. I was ecstatic to be offered employment as a trainee veterinary nurse shortly after.

Favourite animals

I’m a dog person, whilst I generally like most dogs I probably prefer medium to large dogs. I’ve never been much of a cat fan but after recently adopting an elderly cat I have discovered the joys of being a cat owner.

My animals

I have two dogs, Axel and Rocky. Axel is a Red Doberman and Rocky is a German Shepherd. I also recently added Ellie a Persian mix cat to the household and she has fitted in beautifully with our fur family.

Hobbies

I enjoy dancing. I teach and compete as a Hip Hop dancer.

What do you like about working at Hobart Community Veterinary Hospital

Of course I like working with all the animals but it’s also wonderful to work with such a great team as well. They are all teaching me so much on my journey to become a qualified veterinary nurse.
