What services do we provide?

Hobart Community Veterinary Hospital offers exceptional veterinary care with the personalised customer service you would expect from your own GP. We operate just like a normal veterinary facility however all our proceeds are donated back to providing veterinary services at a discounted or charity rate for the less fortunate animals.

We understand that pets are part of your family and we ensure they are treated with care, compassion and respect at all times. Try us out and know that you have not only received exceptional veterinary service at a competitive rate, but you will also be helping another animal receive the medical attention they require.

How do we lower euthanasia?

Financial Assistance – we understand veterinary bills can be large and unexpected. To reduce the risk of euthanasia due to financial hardship, we have various payment options for the treatment of sick and injured animals. Conditions apply so please call the clinic for further information.
Low cost desexing – by minimising the number of unwanted litters in Hobart, we lower the abandonment and euthanasia rate of puppies and kittens and decrease the numbers of animals dropped off at Tasmanian shelters. Further discounting available for concession card holders.
Low price microchipping – in the unfortunate incident where your animal is lost, microchipping allows stray animals to be identified for reuniting them with you.
Community Work
- We offer charity veterinary services to:

  - Wildlife sanctuaries and Programs
  - Bush fire victims

We receive no government funding or ongoing sponsorship. We rely on the support of Tasmanian pet owners to use our services so the profits can keep saving the animals of Tasmania from unnecessary euthanasia.
